Before installation, open the Nintendo Switch console to enter the setting menu, and find the "Processing and Sensor" setting item to set the "Professional Controller Wired Connection" to "Open". Insert the Nintendo Switch console into the controller, press the A key to enter the controller settings menu, and locate the "Handle and sensor" setting item to calibrate the "Calibrate the operating lever" and "Calibrate the gyro sensor" before use. Precautions for installation include not touching the 3D joystick (or other buttons) when inserting the Nintendo Switch console to prevent deviation of the 3D joystick during automatic calibration after powering on. If the 3D joystick has any deviation, unplug the Nintendo Switch console and reconnect it, or calibrate it through the "CalibrateJoystick" item in the setting menu.

The Wireless Controller Grip features a customized button programming function. To set custom buttons, press the "Programming key" button for 2 seconds, and the white indicator will flash slowly, indicating the programming mode has been entered. Press the custom button to be set, and the white indicator will flash quickly, selecting the function button to be set. Press the customized button set on the back again, and the white indicator light will turn on normally, indicating the button has been set successfully. Custom buttons M1, M2, M3, and M4 have the same setting method.

Buttons that can be user-defined include A, B, X, Y, +, -, L, R, ZL, ZR, and the "cross" buttons (up, down, left, right), as well as the L3 (left 3D joystick press button) and R3 (right 3D joystick press button).

The Wireless Controller Grip offers many additional functions, such as the ability to take screenshots, T (Turbo) function, gravity sensing of the six-axis gyroscope, and custom key function programming (mapping). It also features double motor vibration, a power supply charging input interface, and controller system upgrade capabilities.

The gravity induction of the six-axis gyroscope provides enhanced control, while the double motor vibration adds depth and realism to the gaming experience, making it suitable for Nintendo motion sensing games like Zelda and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The Type-C interface design supports the Nintendo Switch game console to play games while charging, using either the original power adapter or a standard 15V PD protocol power adapter for fast charging.
